Special Effects Makeup School!

So I am planning on going to college for special effects makeup. I’m still not 100% positive where I’m going yet but I think I want to go to the one that is in PA. The only downside to going to that one is there are no dorm rooms so I would have to find an apartment near campus which could get expensive.

My mom and I have talked about taking a year off of school and working to save up my money for the apartment. The only thing that I’m worried about is that when the time comes to get back into school I won’t be as motivated to go back. I still feel comfortable with not going for a year to save up money only because I realize that it will be a lot different from high school. Instead of being forced to take classes that you don’t want to in order to graduate this is the type of school that is focused training you on how to do what you love for your career.

I’m nervous to go but I am also very exited to see what its like. I am very exited to learn how to do new things like making molds and airbrush makeup. There are so many things that I don’t know how to do yet the list goes on and on. I’m also hoping to learn how to make the process of application go faster as well because that is something I need to work on.

I can’t wait to go to school for something that I love and hopefully will get a career in. I, like any other senior, am scared but I know that this is something that I can exceed in because I enjoy it so much. I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

Contact Lenses!

Have you ever been watching a movie or TV show and wondered how they made someone’s eyes look cool or creepy? Have you ever wanted to have that added effect for Halloween to impress your friends? You can and there are many websites that sell really cool special effects contact lenses. I will be uploading a video a video to my Youtube page of a review of a pair of contacts that I have and use for a haunted house I work in.

I have bought a few pairs of contacts from Camoeyes and they are amazing. The contacts are so comfortable and really cover up and eye color you have. I have very dark brown eyes and the color that is on the contact is solid so that your eye color doesn’t show through the contact lenses.

The great thing about Camoeyes is they do many giveaways for free pairs of contact lenses! If you like their Facebook page you will get many posts telling you how to win free pairs of contacts. No other contact website that I have found has done that. Their contact lenses also are not very expensive. Other websites and catalogs try and sell you Halloween contacts for $50, $100, even some are $200 and more! To me that’s not worth it if they are only good for 3 months once opened. From this website they are only $24.99 each! Plus sometimes there are sales as well.
